FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A quick reference of frequently asked questions pertaining to your ITEEA membership. For more information, contact Maureen Wiley at mwiley@iteea.org or (703) 860-5028.

What will I get with my membership and when should I receive it?

You will begin receiving your free subscription to the journal, The Technology Teacher, with the next issue published after your payment is received and processed. (Group memberships also receive a free subscription to Technology and Children.) You will also begin receiving TrendScout (ITEEA's electronic newsletter) almost immediately after your membership is processed. Your member ID card and affinity benefit information, such as insurance programs, travel discounts, car rental discounts and credit cards discounts should arrive 2-3 weeks after your application and payment are processed. Other benefits available to you immediately are discounts on publications, grant and scholarship information, and members-only services on this website.

How can I be more involved in ITEEA?

There are three optional councils, ten committees and task forces, and the Board of Directors. Making sure to vote each year when you receive your ballot is a very good way to be involved. Attending the annual ITEEA Conference will help you network and provide professional development. Responding to surveys will help ITEEA be more aware and responsive about the services that will be the most help to you in your career.

Where do I go to get activities or materials?

The first place to start would be with the Publications Catalog that is on this website. The Members-Only area of the ITEEA website will also provide you with materials not available to non-members such as: TE resources, TTTe (electronic version of The Technology Teacher), placement service, etc.

What other resources are available for information/networking?

A few of the many sources available are the ITEEA Board of Directors, State/Province Associations, State Affiliate Representatives, and State Supervisors of Technology Education, just to name a few.

Where can I find information about ITEEA's annual conference?

Conference information is posted (as it becomes available) on the website in the Conference area.

Where can I find information on which schools offer degree programs in technology education?

Go to Where to Get a Degree on the ITEEA website.

How do I submit articles for The Technology Teacher and other ITEEA publications?

How do I submit a change of address to my member record?

Go to ITEEA's online Change of Address form.

How do I submit an email so that I will receive TrendScout?

Where can I find information on grants and scholarships available to me as a member?
