ITEA and IWITTS Joint Mission Statement

ITEA and the Institute for Women in Trades, Technology & Science (IWITTS) have established a partnership to ensure that girls and young women are recruited and retained in technology education and related careers. The focus of this partnership is to provide ITEA members with research-based best practices in the area of girls and technology and practical tools that will enable them to implement strategies at the school and classroom level.  ITEA urges its members to take advantage of ITEA’s Girls in Technology Web Portal and to sign up for our Women in Technology TIG, both hosted by IWITTS. It is the vision of ITEA and IWITTS to have an education system that excites and engages both girls and boys in the many exciting opportunities in technology education and careers that exist today.
