What is Technological Literacy?
The ability to use, manage, understand, and assess technology.
What is Technology Education?
A study of technology, which provides an opportunity for students
to learn about the processes and knowledge related to technology
that are needed to solve problems and extend human capabilities.
What do Technology Teachers Teach?
Technology teachers teach a curriculum called "technology
education," which is problem-based learning utilizing math,
science, and technology principles. Technological studies involve
students:

Designing, developing, and utilizing technological systems
such as communication, transportation, manufacturing, and
construction technologies

Performing open-ended, problem-based design activities
-
Learning cognitive, manipulative, and affective learning
strategies

Applying technological knowledge and processes to real
world experiences using up-to-date resources

Working individually as well as in a team to solve problems
Where do Technology Teachers Work?
Technology is taught in grades K-12. In grades 6-12 technology
is taught as a subject by certified technology teachers. In
grades K-5 teachers may incorporate technology concepts into
other subjects.
