Kentucky Derby Museum
Thursday, March 26
6:30pm–10:00pm
Cost: $65 per person
Plan now to join your colleagues for a special, private ITEA
event at the famed Kentucky Derby Museum.
Located on the front steps of historic Churchill Downs, the
Kentucky Derby Museum is one of Kentucky’s premiere cultural attractions and captures the pride, tradition, and
excitement of “the greatest two minutes in sports,” the
Kentucky Derby. Your adventure begins as you gallop through
the starting gate and into an atmosphere of the sights, sounds,
and colors of the Kentucky Derby. Interactive exhibits, fine art,
the stories of legends and artifacts—it’s all here. View races
from as far back as 1918, test your trivia knowledge, watch the award-winning 360-degree film, and enjoy an historic walking tour of Churchill Downs (weather permitting.)
Through the Museum’s Education Department, an Outreach
Program travels to communities within the state to educate
Kentucky youth about the economics, history, and significance
of the Kentucky Derby. You will have a chance to interact with
one of the Outreach Program instructors, who will be available
to answer questions about their interactions with middle and
high school children.
The evening includes round-trip transportation, museum
admission, hors d’oeuvres, and ample time to explore the
museum on your own, a three-course sit-down dinner, and film
showing. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening. |
