for ITEA's 71st Annual Conference in
Louisville, Kentucky on March 26-28, 2009
ITEA CONFERENCE HOUSING WILL OPEN ON OCTOBER 1st.
Accommodations/Housing Package
The official ITEA hotels are the Louisville Downtown Marriott (ITEA Headquarters), Springhill Suites and the Fairfield Inn, both “by Marriott.” All hotels are within walking distance of the Center (no shuttle service provided). Our special ITEA conference rates are guaranteed to be the lowest you can find, and these rooms—at these prices—will not last long. Rooms at these properties are selling at rates much higher than our conference rates, so don’t delay in making your reservation and securing a room in the ITEA room block. Housing will be handled by each individual property—via phone, via fax, or via the web.
Your reservation requests will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, so register early to ensure your first choice of hotels. All hotels are smoke-free. Rates are available three days prior/following the official ITEA meeting dates (based on availability).
Room Deposits
All reservations must be accompanied by a first-night room deposit, or guaranteed by a major credit card. Individuals are responsible for their own reservations, room, tax, and incidentals.
The ITEA rates are the lowest you will find at these properties, and these room blocks were set up for you—our attendees. If we do not fill the rooms we have contracted for, penalties are assessed to the association and, without your support, ITEA faces financial penalties for unused sleeping rooms. The Room Block Cut-off Date
Cut-off date for all hotels is Friday, February 13th. In order to ensure availability, please make your reservations by this important deadline.
Marriott Louisville Downtown
ITEA HEADQUARTERS HOTEL
Located directly across the street from the Kentucky Int’l Convention Center, the AAA Four Diamond Louisville Downtown Marriott will serve as the ITEA Headquarters Hotel. The welcome reception Wednesday evening, all morning breakfast programs, International and Yearbook Luncheons, and the EbD Labs will be held at the Marriott, in addition to numerous council, committee, and board meetings.
The Louisville downtown Marriott hotel is the city's newest convention hotel, located directly across the street from the Kentucky Int’l Convention Center. It is also connected by skywalk to the center and Louisville's bustling new Fourth Street Live entertainment district. The hotel offers Marriott’s new Revive bed, a fitness center and is completely non-smoking. Take in the lively sports scene at Champion's Sports Bar & Restaurant or delight in the sun-drenched cuisine of BLU Italian Grille. A Starbucks is also located in the hotel lobby. Only ITEA attendees registered through the official ITEA room block will receive complimentary high-speed internet access during their stay (normally $9.95/night). On-site self-parking is $19/day.
