ITEEA's 78th Annual Conference

EbDLabs™ are an excellent opportunity for teachers and other educators to experience one of the Engineering byDesign™ (EbD™) courses in a workshop environment. Comprehensive professional development is provided for each course or instructional component. Whether you are in a Consortium state or not, whether you are currently teaching an EbD™ course or just want to find out more—these workshops are not to be missed. All EbDLabs™ will be hands-on, minds-on, preparing teachers with the fundamentals necessary to implement the materials. A small fee ($50) is requested to cover supplies. Sessions are limited to 30 participants each. All sessions will be held at the Gaylord Convention Center.

Middle School EbDLab™

Invention & Innovation

Invention & Innovation (I&I) is a new version of the 7th Grade Core course. Participants will be introduced to the new content as well as the new EbD Platform. This workshop is an overview with hands-on activities. Registration Fee: $50. Computer/SmartDevice required. Limited to 30 participants

Exploring Technology
Blaire Booth
Exploring Technology (ET) has been updated with new content by popular demand. The workshop will provide participants an overview as well as hands-on activities. Registration Fee: $50. Computer/SmartDevice required. Limited to 30 participants


High School EbDLab™

Foundations of Technology, Online

The Foundations of Technology (FoT) Student Online Version workshop will introduce participants to the content on the online course. This workshop will be hands-on, as well as online. Registration Fee: $50. Computer/SmartDevice required. Limited to 30 participants


High School EbDLab™

Technological Design

Technological Design is part of the EbD Core High School Program This session is hands-on and prepares participants with the fundamentals of implementing the course. Registration Fee: $50. Computer/SmartDevice required. Limited to 30 participants


Middle School EbDLab™

EfA- FOOD

FOOD: Vertical Farming – Feeding 9 Billion People, is a new Middle School 6 week unit developed as part of the Engineering for All project. Using NGSS in the T&E classroom, participants will use Food as a context for learning engineering. Registration Fee: $50. Computer/SmartDevice recommended. Limited to 30 participants

Elementary School EbDLab™

EbD-TEEMS™
Joan Harper-Neely & Kirsten Perry
EbD-TEEMS has been updated to incorporate the Next Generation Science Standards. This workshop will overview all Building Blocks in Grades K-6 with hands-on activities. Registration Fee: $50. Limited to 30 participants


Middle School EbDLab™

Technological Systems
Chandra Porter
Technological Systems is the 8th grade course in the EbD Middle School Core sequence. Workshop participants will use hands-on activities to learn about the course content, and implementation strategies. Registration Fee: $50. Computer/SmartDevice required. Limited to 30 participants


High School EbDLab™

Engineering Design, Third Edition

Engineering Design, the EbD Core Capstone course, has been updated with content that articulates with Engineering Technology at the post-secondary levels. Advanced Technological Applications
